About Wildman Adventures Consultancy
Wildman Adventures provides flexible Duke of Edinburgh’s Award consultancy services, allowing organisations to retain ownership and responsibility for their DofE Programme while benefiting from the experience, knowledge and practical support of our qualified and experienced outdoor instructors.
We understand that every DofE Programme is different. That’s why our consultancy services are flexible and tailored to your organisation’s individual needs, whether you need occasional advice, practical support with expedition preparation, or additional experienced staff to support your programme.
Our aim is to work alongside organisations to help them develop and deliver safe, inclusive and purposeful DofE programmes, while supporting participants to have positive experiences, develop their skills and achieve their expedition goals.
Our Consultancy Services
Wildman Adventures can provide:

DofE Consultancy – ongoing or one-off support from an experienced DofE and outdoor professional.

Kit Presentation – a practical session covering essential expedition equipment, packing and preparation. (Up to 2 hours)

Route Planning Workshops – practical guidance to help participants and staff plan safe, appropriate and achievable expedition routes. (Up to 2 hours)

Expedition Resources – access to useful resources to support the planning, preparation and delivery of your DofE expeditions.

Policies & Procedures – access to relevant Wildman Adventures policies and procedures where appropriate*

Expedition Group Equipment Hire – basic expedition group kit including tents, stoves and gas

Qualified & Experienced Staff – hire experienced instructors, supervisors and assessors to support your DofE programme and expeditions.
Staff Training & Development – practical training and mentoring to help your staff develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead and supervise their own DofE groups. This can include preparation and support towards the Mountain Training Lowland Leader Award, helping organisations develop their own in-house capability and build confidence in delivering their DofE expeditions.

Our consultancy service is designed to support your organisation rather than take over your DofE Programme. You retain ownership of your programme while we provide the specialist outdoor knowledge, practical resources and additional capacity you need.
Whether you are developing a new programme, looking to strengthen your existing provision or simply need additional support for your expeditions, we can create a consultancy package around your requirements.
Wildman Adventures Limited is fully insured and holds an Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) licence.
Clients using our consultancy service must already be a licensed DofE Organisation.
*Use of Wildman Adventures policies and procedures is subject to agreement and does not transfer responsibility for the organisation’s DofE Programme or legal duties to Wildman Adventures.
